The Prime Gaming UX team delivers in-game loot, PC games included with Prime, and a Twitch channel subscription every month to Prime members to a global population across all devices. We’re building experiences that fundamentally shape and continuously improve the Prime experience for millions of gamers, and every day we learn more about what it is that makes people fall in love with video games.

We are looking for high-caliber, tested Senior UX Researcher to tackle research challenges with strategic significance and high exposure. This role requires deep functional expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to hit the ground running. We will look to you as the UXR expert who knows our customers needs and motivations, and you will be responsible for solving complex user problems that will scale globally to millions of customers. We are a team of gamers who are obsessed with customers and innately curious. This role gives the freedom and ownership of driving your own strategic decisions which will directly impact the our growing global customer base's Prime member experience across Amazon, Twitch, and Prime Gaming domains. We are highly collaborative and work closely with product managers, marketers, brand designers, and game developers to create end to end customer features for new and existing experiences.

Core responsibilities include:

· Lead our broad scale research strategy - starting from early research and hypothesis, through defining requirements with Product, and testing prototypes with actual customers. Invent new processes and methodologies when you see fit.
· Engage at all levels - Contribute to the product discovery process and assist in testing core product ideas.
· Measure the user experience and impact of good design.
· Work cross functionally to anticipate future stakeholder research needs.
· Utilizes lean user research methods. Can conduct and/or attend interviews, observation sessions, and remote user tests, and able to synthesize research findings to stakeholders.
· Adaptable processes to fit the nature of the project.
· All around team player - Collaborates with team members, seeks feedback from customers, able to give and receive feedback gracefully.

Basic Qualifications

· BA/BS in psychology, sociology, anthropology, human computer interaction or related discipline.
· 5+ years experience conducting user research in a growing software development setting, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

· End-to-end experience with all aspects of the user research life-cycle (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating, budgeting research)
· Hands-on experience with: lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, field research, international research, and survey design.
· Solid understanding of the product development cycle, and the relationship between business, UX, technology and the role of user research.
· The ability to present complex concepts clearly across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
· A passion for games and games user experience not necessary but a plus.
· A postgraduate (Masters or PhD) degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Interaction Design, Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related field.
· Experience working in the gaming industry or related field a plus.
· UX Research experience in non-US markets.
