What we’re looking for:

Our Research and Development department sets the vision for the future of the Skillz player experience in new arenas and the Hardware team is the latest addition. Skillz is a mobile social gaming platform where players compete for real prizes. We build a player experience that is visually rich with tournaments, chat, leaderboards, payments and customer support. In this role, you and the Hardware team will be building the physical representation of the Skillz brand by bringing new types of gameplay to millions of players through the development of a variety of hardware initiatives.

As Senior Technical Program Manager on the Hardware team you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects from prototyping through production. You will coordinate design/engineering/implementation initiatives between internal teams and manufacturing partners to develop optimal solutions for new hardware products. You will be expected to make appropriate tradeoffs to optimize time-to-market, budget considerations, while communicating goals, areas of responsibility, and desired results to internal stakeholders and external resources.

As Senior Technical Program Manager on the newly formed and quickly growing Hardware team you will be wearing many hats - flexibility is key in this role at this stage. Initially, you’ll be asked to dive into the weeds and tackle everything from Industrial Design to Electrical Engineering challenges. As we hire for those specialized roles you and the other team members will be instrumental in recruiting and selecting the right candidates for the open positions on the team.

What you’ll do:
