Senior Software Engineer Full Stack (CMS)
The Senior Software Engineer will be instrumental in developing a multi-tenant Content Management System (CMS) across multiple web properties within the Pokemon.com program. The CMS serves as a core content distribution platform for The Pokémon Company International’s digital marketing needs. This role will be a key part of an agile team streamlining and automating pokemon.com operations, including development in CMS platform, web technologies, and services.
This role will work with members inside and outside the Technology Organization to ensure new features are delivered with the high quality. The Senior Software Engineer will work at various levels of the technology stack, from frontend web development to backend services, and serve as a mentor to other developers on technical best practices.
What You Will Do
- Partner with all levels of the Technology Organization to implement and architect a world-class CMS solution and web products to the stakeholders’ needs.
- Drive the design and implementation of new features with a focus on highly scalable and secure software.
- Translate business requirements into engineering tasks that can be estimated and completed in an Agile software system.
- Migrate functionality from existing monolith to microservices.
- Document and communicate designs and interfaces with other team members.
- Share technical knowledge and experiences with other team members.
- Work on multi-discipline teams, including non-technical stakeholders, to solve complex problems.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable, and documented code with high throughput and low error rate.
What You Will Bring
- 5-7 years of combined experience in the following:
- Building and maintaining CMS or API-driven services used in multi-tiered, scalable web platforms.
- 2+ years in a technical lead role with a focus on software architecture/design and implementation.
- Experience in Python (Django framework preferred), Groovy, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience in web technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience with UI/UX design is a plus.
- Experience with implementing and supporting an enterprise CMS platform.
- Experience with content localization on modern web platforms.
- Experience with AWS services, containerization, and unit test frameworks preferred.
- Experience with Agile Methodology and Test Driven Development preferred.
- Experience with Continuous Integration practices is highly recommended.
- BS Degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent working experience.
