The Sr. Social Media Manager is The Pokémon Company International’s (TPCi’s) lead Social Media Marketing strategist and who will work closely with the Digital Consumer Engagement Director to oversee all Social Marketing campaigns for TPCi’s products and the Pokémon brand. This role will also work adjacently with the team’s Social Marketing Associates on various launches and beats, as well as coordinate cross-departmentally between Marketing, Public Relations, eCommerce, international divisions and more to support organizational, promotional, and brand goals.
What You’ll Do
- Own and drive social media marketing campaigns supporting the brand from start to finish, while supporting the social team on product-specific marketing campaigns they’re driving.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all of TPCi’s Social Marketing endeavors and serve as brand lead with internal and external partners on behalf of the larger Digital Consumer Engagement team.
- Create and maintain an “always on” social media presence and strategy for the global @pokemon accounts.
- Develop unique and fan-focused social media campaigns to drive acquisition and retention for Pokémon fans around the world.
- Oversee the social media editorial calendar to meet all organizational and promotional marketing goals and beats.
- Brief content for social channels while analyzing, managing, and altering where necessary to optimize channels.
- Oversee quality assurance of creative, social media copy and project deliverables.
- Analyze and report on the success of social media projects and campaigns.
- Foster and maintain relationships with cross-functional leaders and external partners.
- Actively work with the entirety of the Digital Consumer Engagement team to create synergy between all consumer-facing digital platforms and channels(I.e., Email, Streaming, Community, etc.).
What You’ll Bring
- 5-7+ years of proven experience with social media strategy, community management, and/or product marketing, preferably for a major global brand.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Twitch, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and how they can be leveraged to achieve business goals.
- Understanding and empathy towards gamers, anime fans, TCG players and geek culture in general to create authentic social experiences and content.
- 1-2 years' experience leading social teams on major marketing activations.
- Proven expertise in developing effective social media strategies and engaging social-first content.
- Highly organized and able to manage several projects and beats concurrently.
- Experience creating, implementing, measuring, and reporting on campaign and content performance
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience working within a highly-regulated industry is a plus.
