Sr. QA Analyst

Does the prospect of working with a talented team of individuals on educational games excite you? When you hear the words “computer vision” do you immediately wonder how it’ll break? Do you like to solve puzzles and find yourself stumbling across software bugs without even trying? If so, this might just be the position for you! We are seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst who will work closely alongside multiple game teams to provide manual testing and QA support for ongoing development of a range of titles and all of the exciting challenges that comes with.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct manual testing for functional, hardware compatibility, and regression tests for features and improvements made to multiple titles and across multiple platforms
• Help define and execute upon test plans for software that include tangible, real-world components
• Clearly communicate about bugs and UI/UX issues with the development team
• Manage issue tracking, prioritization of bugs, and the state of each release across multiple projects
• Self-manage task prioritization and provide relatively accurate scheduling estimates for given projects
• Participate in regular planning meetings where you provide both a critical eye for quality and a user perspective that reflects our players’ experiences

Additional Responsibilities

• Advocate for, lay the groundwork of, and execute on QA best practices
• Support other teams and testing of other projects as is necessary
• Be a part of game development discussions and contribute to tasks and responsibilities outside of the QA silo

Requirements

• A passion for education, video games, or both!
• 3+ yrs experience in game or software development
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Working knowledge of and a desire to refine QA methodology

Skills & Experience

• Functional and regression testing across multiple platforms
• Technical proficiency with C# and Unity is a plus
• Additional experience with automation testing, iOS and Android games development, computer vision, SQL, and/or JIRA administration is a plus
