- Job Title: Sr. Program Manager - People Programs
- Job Summary: The Program Manager - People Programs will drive coordinated project management and planning for a portfolio of complex initiatives that span across the People (HR) line of business. Leveraging an ability to build robust relationships, they will collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to ensure programs and initiatives are aligned with organizational strategic objectives. In addition to the responsibilities a Sr. Program Manager / Sr. Project Manager typically has (i.e. capacity planning, managing budget, schedules, communication, etc.), a key part of this role includes applying human-centered design principles to change management and communication strategies to ensure that holistic project implementation and operational sustainment plans are delivered to the business.
What you’ll do
- Leads an interdepartmental team of stakeholders to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, with accuracy and efficiency.
- Provides consultation to stakeholders; researches, analyzes and synthesizes options; summarizes recommendations; and facilitates decision support processes.
- Conducts needs assessments and user requirements gathering to inform project scoping and prioritization.
- Develops workback schedules, convenes stakeholders, outlines and delegates project tasks, and drives visibility and accountability to project progress and milestones.
- Manages project communications and collaboration; serves as a liaison between company, stakeholders, customers, and vendors; and addresses questions and/or concerns.
- Evaluates project/program risks and dependencies, conducts and facilitates risk assessments, communicates risks to management, and provides recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Manages budgets including: cost estimates, cost analysis, creation of budgets, and monitoring.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Advocates for user experience and operational excellence, and brings visibility to customer needs and business needs in support of project/program goals.
- Identifies, leverages, and integrates best practices into project plans and program frameworks.
What you’ll bring
- Eight (8) + years of relevant Project Management and/or Program Management related professional experience.
- Effective time management, prioritization, delegation, and organization skills, including demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Experience with working cross-functionally in a highly complex, matrixed environment to drive business results.
- Proficiency interfacing across organizational levels and collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups including executive leadership, people managers, individual contributors, technical experts, consultant, and vendors.
- Proficiency in written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, and intercultural communication skills.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, synthesize, and summarize complex information into meaningful written and visual formats for different audiences. This role requires in-depth reading comprehension skills, attention to detail, and highly developed writing skills.
- Ability to leverage independent judgment, situational awareness, and critical thinking to solve problems, navigate ambiguity and complexity, and drive clarity to achieve objectives.
- Ability to effectively develop and manage business relationships, facilitate negotiation, foster collaboration, and lead through influence.
- Discretion and demonstrated proficiency with managing confidential/private information such as employee details, financial data, business strategy, and intellectual property.
- Independent, self-driven learner with curiosity and aptitude for quickly learning new processes, systems, functions, and content areas needed to support success of projects and programs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of project management tools and templates; and expertise in identifying and leveraging appropriate technologies and methods to support business needs.
- Experience with providing high level of customer service to a diverse range of clients and/or customers.
Preferred
- Experience leading project management/implementations within Human Resources related (or adjacent) operational functions such as: training and development, HR information systems, talent acquisition/recruiting, new-hire onboarding, employee relations, employee benefits, compliance and reporting, vendor management, compensation, payroll, finance/procurement, and legal/risk management.
- Exposure or familiarity with product management, design thinking principles, and continuous process improvement methods.
- Experience with overarching program management lifecycles including not only core project planning and implementation components, but also activities such as: early discovery and scoping, providing consultation and guidance to stakeholders, integration of ongoing customer feedback loops, facilitation of change management, end-of project retrospectives, and iterative program improvements.
Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $125,000.00 - $148,200.00 per year. The full range is $125,000.00 - $187,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
