Senior Product Manager, Pricing and Monetization

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager, Pricing and Monetization to join a growing cross-functional team of quants, developers, and product leaders building a best-in-class marketplace platform for digital assets . The role presents an opportunity for a highly-technical and operations-focused Product Manager to take their career to the next level by joining the most exciting company at the intersection of Gaming, E-commerce, and Blockchain. In this role, you will directly own the strategic and tactical decisions relating to fee setting and inventory management, while partnering with teams of engineers, product managers, economists, and researchers to execute and operationalize. You will be responsible for the product direction and delivery of pricing, monetization, and intelligence products for B2B and B2C customers.

The Sr PM, Pricing and Monetization will contribute to the long-term product vision and roadmap, and will bring rigor and focus to the planning and development effort. Effective communication and collaboration at all levels of the organization is central to the role: you will serve as the primary liaison between technical developers, designers, and various business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have prior pricing and monetization product experience, combined with a background in inventory management and revenue optimization in a high-volume marketplace. You are familiar with economic theory, statistical modeling, and machine learning applications. You can prioritize trade-offs independently and work seamlessly with your counterparts in the team and across the organization. You are a strong performer, willing to challenge the status quo and think outside of the box, with a passion for markets and data solutions.

This role will report to our VP, Marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Establish fee policy and set P&L and revenue targets in partnership with finance and business counterparts
• Fee optimization - design, execute, and evaluate pricing experiments
• Develop, monitor, and improve logic and algorithms that provide liquidity on our marketplace; calibrate when necessary to ensure a healthy market
• Manage inventory management operations and own P&L and other KPIs
• Lead a team of designers, economists, and engineers to build a suite of quantitative decision support and execution tools for AAA game publishers and content partners
• Partner with Marketplace product managers to design and deliver pricing automation tools for consumers
• Establish and measure success metrics. Monitor performance data and incorporate customer feedback into essential product decisions

• Support platform products and services by contributing to the foundational marketplace structure, such as fee service and order matching policy

Basic Qualifications

• Academic degree and deep training in a technical discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics/Finance, or Operations Research
• 5+ years of experience managing data products and owning P&L and risk decisions in a marketplace setting
• Proficiency with SQL and Python or a similar general purpose programming language
• Experience operating proprietary or generic pricing and revenue optimization systems
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and capable of providing specific solutions at each step of the process
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills: experience collaborating with engineers, product managers, and executives
• Track record of driving change based on persuasive communication of insights based on data and analysis
• Deep expertise presenting structured recommendations to senior executives
• Highly-organized with proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• A team player committed to delivering results in a fast-paced environment
• Self-starter with natural curiosity and investigative skills who takes ownership to drive results

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile practices and project management tools
• Passion for computer games
• Past work experience in both larger companies and startups
