Sr. Product Manager, Beyond Console Experience

The Team
PlayStation’s beyond console team is looking for a passionate Sr. Product Manager who wants to deliver extraordinary gaming experiences to gamers beyond console gaming.
Located in the heart of San Francisco’s SOMA district, you will partner with a cross-functional team of designers, researchers, writers, engineers, and business partners to define where we go beyond our console experiences today. Together with the team, you will conceptualize and craft experiences that both delight our users no matter where they are or what device they are on.
The Role
This Senior Product Manager will own the definition of product requirements and deliverables for future of PlayStation gaming experiences beyond console.
Responsibilities
This role will lead end-to-end planning, development, and delivery of company products and experiences. Responsibilities include:
- Envisioning and defining strategy for gaming experience beyond our flagship PS4/PS5 consoles from a basis in experience, research, and data analysis
- Collaborating with game studios to understand their strategies and needs, and incorporate those into release roadmaps
- Identifying and driving integrations of gaming experiences onto various company products
- Breaking down business obstacles into simple functional requirements for technical analysis
- Measuring positive impacts to the PlayStation platform and services, including overall customer happiness, affinity, and engagement for product offerings
- Working with globally distributed internal partners to develop a driven roadmap for technology products and assess prioritization on the backlog.
- Defining software product requirements documentation and functional specifications for features and application improvements.
- Collaborating with designers and engineers to identify efficient customer-centric solutions, build end-user prototypes and deliver design specifications for technical implementation.
- Analyzing market and data trends for PlayStation’s products and sharing analysis findings on user research and industry trends to craft product strategy and direction.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- BA/BS Degree/equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years proven experience with dynamically increased responsibility in product management of software, services, and/or platforms
- Understanding of the landscape and challenges of gaming outside of console.
- Experience in the PC gaming and/or Mobile gaming area!
- Validated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of globally distributed partners and project team members (UX designers, engineers, managers, business teams, etc)
- Experience defining, prioritizing, managing, and releasing large-scale consumer products
- Outstanding problem-solving skills which reflects the ability to break down sophisticated business problems into concise functional requirements
- Flexibility to work (including travel in the future) with internal teams and external partners in Japan, Europe, and other PlayStation locations
