Your Mission
As a member of the Internal Communications team at ABK, the Senior Manager, Internal Communications is part of a global function whose priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Develop compelling content that explains our strategy and helps every employee understand their role in our mission
- Align our people around our culture, values and business goals so they can deliver for our players and feel like this is the best place to have an epic career
- Champion our purpose of serving players and promote pride within the organization
- Ensuring the timely communication of news and information to employees, including a central source
- Continuously evolving and maintaining IC tools, processes (central editorial calendar), and channels (employee intranet, newsletter)
- Facilitating a trusted, two-way dialogue between executives and employees
- Driving awareness of and participation in major initiatives tied to workplace satisfaction (Culture, DE&I, CSR)
- Communicating HR (and Finance, IT, Marketing, Legal) program/policy changes and initiatives to employees
- Helping to manage Issues & Crisis Communications as required
- Maintaining a global dashboard on the overall effectiveness of IC and employee engagement across the enterprise and within BUs and Geos
- Supporting the rollout of Blizzard-wide communications plans for initiatives and programs including change management, global messaging, and key employee experiences
- Ensuring timely and engaging communication of Blizzard-specific news and information around our franchises, game launches and cultural progress/updates
- Partnering with Sr. Director, Internal Communications to lead the program development, copy development and execution of Blizzard’s monthly All-Hands meeting
- Drive post-meeting sentiment engagement and determine and implement actions needed to ensure employee feedback is incorporated
- Day-to-day point person on implementation of the DE&I strategy at Blizzard, including highlighting our employee networks and actions
- Accountable for delivering 6 Hub assets/content/articles related to Blizzard, and often focusing on employee stories and how they exemplify our ABK values and outcomes that deliver growth; bring unique content to all employees via the Hub, i.e. games and our people
- Contributing best practices for tools and channels across Blizzard to ensure all areas of the Company are effectively reaching employees
- Feeding Blizzard data into global IC editorial calendar and metrics dashboard
- Managing and moderating global Blizzard Slack channels
- Conceptualizing, drafting, routing, editing and distributing ongoing cadence of emails and other content and Slack content to global Blizzard
- Developing and delivering multimedia content ideas and campaigns to help rebuild the culture for various internal platforms
- Coordinating with internal teams for employee games codes, giveaways and prizes tied to game releases, events and employee celebration and recognition
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- 6+ years experience in a communications role, preferably internal communications
- Excellent multi-tasking skills and attention to detail, able to set own priorities, and work under tight deadline pressure
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; including editing and copywriting
- Strong project management skills with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders
- A strategic mindset who will anticipate the needs of partners and work toward the big picture
- A passion for internal communications and knowledge of employee engagement trends
- A knack for storytelling, with the ability to turn complex information into engaging content
- Ability to pivot quickly and move forward in ambiguous situations
- Adaptable and humble, willing to take on projects big and small
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English or relevant field
