Job summary

Prime Gaming, part of Amazon Games, provides free games, in-game content and Twitch benefits to Amazon Prime members and we are searching for a leader to drive our social strategy and original content development.

This individual will work with agency partners, internal stakeholders, and wider teams to establish Prime Gaming’s personality across various social platforms, build affinity for the brand, and organically grow our brand social footprint.

A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of social media, a proven-track record of planning, delivering and reporting on a range of social media campaigns, and demonstrate ability to deliver engaging, high-impact creative. They should be a multi-tasker, creative thinker and problem solver. The individual should be goal-oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced, start-up culture where ambiguity is common. They will also have a passion for testing to invent and scale a successful program – from designing and creating the test to communicating results to the business, then using learnings to inform future decisions.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead a small, dedicated team of social media managers to define, execute and track social media programs that drive successful business outcomes
• Collaborate with the Influencer team, brand, PR and others to optimize user engagement and growth and leverage our relationships with key talent
• Manage social media agency relationships, including contracts, purchase orders, invoices, etc. and oversee campaign strategy, leading creative ideation to deliver innovative, best-in-class campaigns for customers
• Drive a calendar of communication that grows our footprint and following with the goal of social posts driving awareness of our content slate
• Serve as a social expert internally across multiple countries and liaison externally with social platforms on their direction, best practices, and new opportunities
• Maintain deep understanding of social media metrics and data analysis and ownership of data touchpoints
• Contribute and present strategy, learnings and recommendations to senior leadership via meetings and document writing
• Develop and manage direct reports and provides mentorship, guidance and performance management
• Develop and own multiple team KPIs for social media strategy to drive results toward our business goals that deliver on earned media value
• Provide thought leadership and guidance for social media best practices such as content publishing guidelines, KPI benchmarks, and channel growth strategies across our organization

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant work experience in marketing/social in gaming, entertainment, media, or relevant industry
• 3+ years managing social media channels with demonstrated growth
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience working with enterprise social media management platforms
• Experience working on large, cross-functional marketing programs
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience running social media for for a global brand
• A passionate gamer with knowledge of a wide scope of games
• An MBA or other advanced degree, preferably business/marketing related
• Proven track record of creating a brand that plays well in social media and delivering campaigns that increase engagement
• High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Ability to partner cross-functionally and work with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong competency in Office software (Outlook, Excel, etc.)
• Tableau or similar data visualization software familiarity
