Job Title: Sr. Manager, Organized Play Tools and Business Systems
Job Summary: The Sr. Manager for Organized Play Tools and Business Systems will be critical in developing the roadmap and leading the organization in evaluating, procuring and implementing externally acquired tools and working with internal technology teams to seamlessly integrate with existing systems that support The Pokémon Company International’s (TPCi) Organized Play (OP) and Premier Event groups so they can deliver high quality play experiences to our customers, including Retailers, Professors and Players. This position’s responsibilities will be to understand the business needs of the groups and the customers as well as technology challenges and opportunities to envision an approach to meeting all those needs. To manage the process of identifying of the different options and work with internal stakeholders to select the best path forward. Once a direction has been selected, this role will partner with internal technology teams as well as have responsibility for the management of external vendors to see this vision to reality to achieve those results.

What you’ll do
- Manage a diverse team of technology staff to provide the tools and systems for the OP and Premier Events teams to meet their business objectives
- Work with OP and Premier Events teams to understand business needs and current technology and systems as well as the different customers’ needs to create a team of technical program managers and producers to develop high quality tools for them.
- Manage a cross functional team to develop proposed solutions considering all options of technology and sourcing of development
- Manage a team of experts to define and gather requirements internally across all stakeholders and manage a team to work closely with internal development and/or external vendor to develop stories and use cases that will aid with implementation.
- Manage the OP technology roadmap in close partnership with the Sr. Director of Global Organized Play Programs and other key leaders through understanding the balance of business priorities and technology opportunities.
- Help define and deliver customer, program and technology metrics, ensuring an ever-increasing coverage of reporting and analysis is provided to the OP and Premier Event groups.
- Manage the team to proactively provide guidance and training on tools to end users, whether in the OP, Premier Events or with external customers including Retailers and Professors.
- Partner closely with systems analysts across the organization to map OP systems to infrastructure roadmap.
- When necessary, recommend and implement new processes to bridge tools gaps to meet current and future strategic business needs.
What you’ll bring
- Ten+ (10+) years of relevant professional experience, plus two (2) years of management experience.
- Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred with a focus in Technology or business systems.
- Preferably 3 to 5 years, or more, experience in managing a diverse team of technology specialists in a rapidly changing environment.
- Management of and collaboration with external technology vendor including the development of new technology and systems
- An understanding of how different tools and applications fit together to create a technology ecosystem
- The ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and provide leadership regarding technology and product development matters is essential.
- A broad awareness and understanding of a variety of technologies across the disciplines of software applications, web-based applications and backend system design, development, and implementation.
- The ability to provide guidance regarding technology selection and application and appropriate insights into testing methodologies across a wide range of products and technologies will be advantageous.
- A refined writing, speaking and presentation capability is an important asset.
- Strong point of view and experience in applying gaming and customer engagement systems
- Experience with a multitude of tournament and event technology from competitive play and event registration
- Proven experience facilitating groups to outcomes in new and innovative ways.
- Proven ability to influence key stakeholders.

- Base salary range: 139000.00 - 208000.00 $. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. It is common for TPCi to start employees below the midpoint of the range. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates qualifications and experience uniquely.
