Senior Manager, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting

Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated, technically proficient, accounting professional for SEC reporting, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, accounting for technical issues and other special projects. Particular areas of focus and expertise include but not limited to SEC reporting, Sarbanes Oxley, revenue recognition and technical accounting.
What you will be doing:
- Manage the Technical Accounting and Financial reporting team, including but not limited to: staffing, work assignments, coaching, performance management to ensure company initiatives are met and staff development
- Prepare variety reports and presentations on technical matters for CFO and Audit Committee SEC Reporting
- Oversees the external financial reporting process and ensure compliance with SEC and GAAP disclosure requirements
- Organize, draft and distribute the Company’s Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other filings as needed, including financial statements, footnotes and MD&A
- Oversee the preparation and review of quarterly financial schedules, including statement of cash flows, EPS calculation, earnings tables
- Manage the maintenance of XBRL requirements, including block and detail footnote tagging
- Coordinate with external auditors for their quarterly review, interim testing, control testing and annual audit
- Lead the communicate and resolution of financial reporting issues with the auditors
- SOX Responsibilities
- Manage internal controls for SOX compliance
- Perform annual SOX materiality and scoping exercise, risk assessment and development of annual SOX plan
- Own the Company's SOX documentation (narratives and risk control matrices), which includes drafting new controls and modifying existing controls to ensure documentation is current and in-line with policies.
- Evaluate and review internal control testing results and make remediation recommendations as necessary
- Develop and communicate corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Technical Accounting Responsibilities
- Own all technical issues and accounting
- Work closely with legal, revenue and sales departments regarding new revenue arrangements.
- Ensure the timely identification of significant and complex accounting issues and discussing the resolution and documentation of such issues with the external auditors.
- Perform analyses and research of accounting literature
- Other special projects as required (acquisition integration, new accounting guidance implementation, etc.)
Your skills and experience include:
- Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or related field
- CPA, or equivalent qualification with 5+ years US GAAP experience required
- 7+ years of technical accounting and reporting experience in a Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm or a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting required (public accounting preferred)
- Experience with SEC reporting requirements and researching SEC reporting and technical issues
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Strong MS Office skills
- Management /supervisory experience
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
- Experience in leading both technical accounting and SEC reporting at a public US company (preferred)
- Oracle or tier 1 ERP experience (a plus)
