Senior Manager, Content Planning & Performance (PlayStation Plus)

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a top-tier Senior Manager to join the PlayStation services team that runs PlayStation Plus – the world’s largest game subscription service with over 45M subscribers!
This is a unique opportunity to lead a team that drives significant impact for players, our partners, and PlayStation, in a fun, fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for helping to shape the PlayStation Plus content strategy, framework, and tactics, for which games form part of the proposition, helping to delight our subscribers while creating substantial value for the creators and publishers we work with. You’ll help target and prioritize game titles, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimize and manage the content life cycle, guiding content acquisition and engagement.
This role requires a mix of critical thinking, strong execution, excellent storytelling, and a shown ability to partner optimally across multiple teams and divisions. You’ll combine quantitative and qualitative analysis to build holistic plans and will make quick calls while understanding the customer, and the strategic & financial impact of those choices, ensuring the best decision. The right person for this role will enjoy solving complex problems, developing decision frameworks to drive clarity, and working effectively in an environment that is constantly evolving.
What you'll be doing:
- Work in a distributed team, across the globe, using data to identify the games that power PlayStation Plus to drive player engagement and improve critical metrics
- Collaborate with internal teams, including content acquisition, engagement, analytics, sales, marketing, third party relations and PlayStation Studios
- Responsible for finding the best games to engage our customers
- Applying an understanding of customer, commercial and publisher insights
- Deliver 12-18 months content plans to engage all customer cohorts
- Understand the PlayStation business (Services, Digital Store, Physical Retail, Console) and collaborate with senior partners to build long term business plans
- Understand what the content acquisition team needs to consider when negotiating deals to secure games for PlayStation Plus
- Responsible for planning a $multi-million content budget, establishing agreed parameters as well as improving the value of each individual deal
- Craft processes and business policies to ensure efficient and effective deal structures
What we're looking for:
- At least 7 years’ experience in content strategy, planning and performance in gaming, apps, video, music or subscription services at a publisher, gaming platform, subscription service or digital entertainment store
- Experience leading and building high performing teams, ideally in an international or remote working structure
- An extraordinary teammate who can identify and cultivate key relationships both internally and externally
- Excellent communication skills for influencing cross-functional partners up to the Executive level
- Strong analytical / numerical skills, ideally with an advanced degree in business, finance, or engineering
- Consistent track record to drive successful businesses ventures to the next level of performance, showing rapid and sustainable results
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a persistent attention to detail
- Ability to adapt quickly and balance multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and experience of digital gaming landscape, key players, and competitive offerings is required

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

This is a flexible role that can be remote, with varying pay ranges based on geographic location. For example, if you are based out of Seattle, the estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$148,700 — $223,100 USD
