Sr Machine Learning Engineer

At Glu, we build mobile games that are free to play. Our titles include Covet Fashion, Design Home, Deer Hunter, MLB Tap Sports Baseball, and our newest game, Disney Sorcerer's Arena, to name a few. As a machine learning engineer, you will develop data products and services that allow us to better understand, service, and delight our players.

As a member of the Revenue Analytics Team, you will collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and data scientists. The team’s mission is to provide objective insights so that we efficiently acquire players and maximize the financial performance of our games. You will help the team create internally focused, machine learning tools for improving the experience of our players.

You'll most often:

• Build and maintain scalable data and ML pipelines
• Act as a steward of data for analytical and machine learning applications
• Lead best practice software engineering competencies development, especially in AWS, SQL, and Python
• Ensure the high availability of the group’s products

You'd likely have great success in this position if you have:

• Passion for games and empathy for our players
• Excitement for working in a data rich environment
• Experience managing jobs and pipelines in a cloud environment
• Experience building applications using the Python data science stack, including Pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, and Flask
• Experience reasoning about algorithmic complexity when designing jobs and pipelines
• Experience scripting applications in shell as part of CI/CD pipeline
• Experience building jobs and pipelines in technologies such as CircleCI, Jenkins, or GitLab
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or similar) plus 5 years of relevant experience

Bonus points if you have:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science (or similar) plus 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience building internally focused user interfaces
• Experience deploying AWS computing and storage strategies, such as EMR, Lamba, and Hive
