The Sr. Internal Communications Manager will play a key role in the Americas land-based organization as it relates to keeping employees informed and engaged. They will do this by demonstrating exceptional communications skills through several channels including but not limited to the company intranet, email communications, social media and town halls. Reporting to the Director of Partnership Marketing and Communication, this individual will also be responsible for managing employee engagement events and creating robust employee programs that keep colleagues throughout the Americas connected regardless of physical location. This role requires a self-starter with innovative experience in internal communications and employee relations strategies.What you'll do
- Work closely with senior executives to establish organizational messages and keep staff well informed across the Americas organization
- Design and execute the internal communications strategy for the Americas Land-Based business
- Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums
- Plan, organize and lead Americas Town Halls including executive preparation, content development and run of show.
- Manage the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation
- Design and execute internal employee events to promote engagement across the organization
- Lead, design and deploy ongoing surveys and keep track of key engagement metrics as a proof point for communication effectiveness
- Work with cross-functional partners across the organization to ensure share of information including but not limited to People & Culture, Benefits, Facilities and more.
- This US based position may require registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate
What we're looking for
- 5-7 years of applicable experience in internal communications and employee relations
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or equivalent
- Willingness to relocate to Las Vegas, Nevada for the duties of the role
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well at the journalistic ability to source stories internally
- Strong speaking and presentation skills in order to give presentations to senior executives and staff
- Strong sense of empathy and sensitivity to the organization’s goals and values while retaining the ability to relay them to employees
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills; this individual must work well with cross-functional departments
- Prior management experience and well versed in high volume project management
