The Opportunity

We are looking for an insanely talented senior industrial designer to join our hardware team and help us expand the reach of our platform. This role will interface heavily with Research, Machine Learning, Mechanical Engineering, and Product teams.
What you will do
- Work on the hardware team to develop new platforms that deliver phygital (a combination of physical and digital)l experiences to be used in companies across the Byju’s portfolio.
- Test your ideas with real users - empathetically refining your designs to create amazing user experiences
- Work as part of a global design team focused on delivering the best learning experiences to markets throughout the world.
- Be the primary creative voice for developing our hardware platforms - your work will define how customers access and experience our content through a variety of device categories.
- Be an active voice in the studio environment - share your exceptional skills/techniques with other designers on the team, help build a culture of deep collaboration.
- Work with our vendors to translate designs from concepts into final products that delight our customers.
About you
- You have 5-10 years experience working as a designer of consumer electronics products with a portfolio that showcases your success.
- You have a bachelor's or master’s degree in Industrial Design, related professional degree or certification program.
- Experience working on children’s products is a plus.
- Experience working in a design consultancy is a plus.
- You have excellent form development skills - your sketches inspire stakeholders, your CAD surfaces are used in production tools.
- You are passionate about the whole design process -user research - product brief - concept design - DFM - mass production.
- You are highly motivated and proactive. You drive projects forward, destroying all roadblocks.
- You are a creative problem solver who likes to get your hands dirty, building fast/iterative physical models to explain and test your design concepts.
- You know your way around a 3D printer and use it regularly to refine your designs.
- You are well versed in the tools of the trade - 2D (Adobe Suite) and 3D (Creo, SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360, Keyshot, Maya, Blender)
- You are an active learner - always looking to add new tools and techniques to your skillset.
- You excel in a team environment - you are skilled at helping other designers grow - you love sharing knowledge and techniques. You are comfortable pushing young designers to reach better solutions.
