IT Programmer Analyst II

Sr. IT Programmer Analyst, ServiceNow

PlayStation San Diego (Rancho Bernardo, CA)

We have an awesome opportunity to join Sony Interactive Entertainment (PlayStation). We seek a senior programmer analyst to participate in a global ServiceNow adoption. Here, you would administer PlayStation’s global service desks, develop custom applications and workflows, while helping to define our IT processes and providing mentorship to our staff. Your strong ServiceNow programming and administration skills will directly improve our platform at a global level. If this is you, you need to come play with us here at Sony PlayStation!

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with our IT and business partners to configure and improve core platform capabilities in accordance with ITIL standard methodologies.
• Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
• Coordinate application and platform upgrades.
• Build and maintain internal user documentation, manuals, policies, and processes.
• Analyze, solve and resolve complex software application related problems.
• Develop systems integrations and process automation.
• Participate in workflow development / release activities as needed.
• Participate in unit, system, integration and user acceptance testing activities.
• Responsible for 24x7 on-call support for customer impacting production problems.
• Act as a technical liaison with software vendors
• Ensure alignment to security standards
• Respond to user tickets in the ticket queue and participate in administration activities to lead the rest of our application portfolio.
• Participate in strategy and roadmap sessions
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to non-technical employees.

Qualifications:

• Strength programming and administering ServiceNow operations.
• You should have expertise programming ServiceNow APIs and performing application integrations.
• Prior work with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications.
• Experience with requirements gathering and IT service management.
• Familiarity with application inheritance & delegated developer.
• You should be a motivated, self-starter with strong written and oral communication skill.

Nice-to-Have:

• ServiceNow Certified: Application Developer and/or Certified Systems Administrator.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related.
• Service portal: Request & Event management.
• ITIL certification.
