Sr. HR Generalist

JOB OVERVIEW: The Human Resources Generalist serves as a member of the HR team to support processes and procedures that drive the comprehensive people strategy to support QA business goals. The HR Generalist needs broad HR experience and the ability to communicate with all levels in the studio. Must be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, and willing to learn from a hardworking and diverse team around them.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a resource and support for the Private Division QA population
- Supports the studio in carrying out various human resources programs and processes for all QA employees
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee questions and requests via email, telephone and in-person
- Coordinates the recruitment and interview process; tracks status of candidates in our talent management system and follows up through the end of the recruiting process
- Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains candidates are current; tracks visa statuses in database
- Submits the online application, investigation requests and administers new hire background checks
- Conducts new hire orientations; open enrollment meetings and supports other benefit/wellness/compliance related initiatives
- Maintains HRIS records, employee records, reports, and HR database
- Conducts audit of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
- Assists in the employee investigations, the separation process, completes separations in Workday and coordinates final pay with Payroll
- Administers the FMLA and ADA processes to ensure a successful interactive process
- Assists in organizational training and development efforts
- Performs administrative functions as needed
- Electronically files documents into appropriate employee files; maintains and audits files
- Communicates HR information via email and SharePoint
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as requested
- Performs other related duties and projects as required and assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience, including experience managing Recruiting, Onboarding, Benefits, Payroll and Employee Relations functions.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all HR and employee information
- Outstanding interpersonal skills; must display patience, optimism, and helpfulness always
- Ability to be a trusted resource to management and employees
- Ability to problem-solve, deal with ambiguity, and accept change in a fast-paced studio
- Effective communication skills and computer literate
- Extensive experience with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Flexibility to work mandatory overtime when needed
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally, sit for prolonged periods of time, stand occasionally for long periods of time, bend at the waist and walk between separate floors to offices
- Must have efficient communication skills, in both written and verbal form
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Master’s degree related to Human Resources or equivalent education and experience
- Outstanding knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources
- Prior experience with a HRIS database to include Workday and Greenhouse
- Nevada specific payroll knowledge and administration
