Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Global Esports Business Manager to join the Esports Marketing and Business Development team to help shape and grow the Ubisoft's Esports & Competitive Gaming ecosystem. You excel at strategic planning, branded content, channel development, partner management, and overcoming obstacles in a fast-paced environment. Your experience in the videos games and sport industry and your analytical skills will assess new business ventures and your entrepreneurial spirit will help drive our esports growth and profitability.
What you’ll do:
- Build a business-driven growth strategy for our esports channels in partnership with platform owners/holders
- Develop a portfolio of exclusive and/or non-exclusive content and media right offers to brand partners, sponsors, advertisers, streaming platforms, and linear TV
- Create go-to-market strategy and plan to attract new partners and generate sustainable revenue in close collaboration with esports business development team
- Benefit from co-branding and platform partnerships to create special branded content opportunities such as documentary series and music productions
- Define business terms and negotiate licensing, sponsorship, and media rights agreements in close collaboration with the legal and brand & transmedia partnerships teams
- Identify investment priorities to drive esports revenue growth and profitability
- Develop business reports, dashboards, and forecasts in collaboration with the Finance and Marketing Analytics team to support management in defining KPIs and business objectives
- Collaborate with the Consumer Market Knowledge team and external providers of esports data and analytics to develop studies, market research and reports to support the esports team with insights and business intelligence for decision making
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working on product/program management, digital media, business development or consulting. Also have cases that prove your high skills in commercial and/or partnership negotiation
- Passion for business development: you can identify our value proposition and adjust it to brands and partners according to your perception of what's most relevant for them, you can sell the dream of Esports and the deep connections with our fans as you educate our potential partners.
- Strategic vision and insights: you can see the big picture and utilize your suite of skills to level up your team's creative ideas; you back up those strong marketing instincts with meticulous analysis, metrics, and stats
- Excellent communication skills: you can effectively communicate in any medium including the ability to present complex topics both in person, over the phone, and through concise document writing.; you're able to convert large amount of information and data into clear, professional presentations
- Proven multi-tasking: you're able to manage multiple projects and deliverables at once and you're a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
- Enthusiasm for gaming and sports: your interest in video games is what drove you to the industry; you really like games and sports offline and online, you're an enthusiast of esports.
