Sr. Full-Stack Engineer

Job Title: Sr. Full-Stack Engineer

Reporting To: Principal Game Analytics Specialist

Department: Global Analytics Team

Location: Boulder, CO

Activision’s Global Analytics team is seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer who is comfortable building web-based tools and possesses practical frontend and backend experience. You’ll work in a team developing the next generation of data-driven game experiences covering everything from the in-game economy to player personalization to game content recommendation systems.

Responsibilities

● Build full-stack web applications

● Translate UI/UX designs into frontend code

● Design and implement backend data processing pipelines (streaming and batch)

● Collaborate with the team to build easy-to-use interactive web-based tools to help deliver

complex analytics to our portfolio of games

● BA/BS degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics)

● 4+ years fullstack development work experience

● Experience with frontend web application development (Node.js, React, D3)

● Experience with backend application development (Python, Java)

● Experience with virtualized/containerized environments (EC2, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker)

● Experience with modern development tools and best practices (IDEs, version control,

unit testing, build tools, continuous integration and deployment, metrics, monitoring)

● Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases (Postgres, Elasticsearch)

Experience in the following areas is a plus:

● Familiarity with UX design tools (Illustrator, Sketch)

● Familiarity with graphic design tools (Photoshop, GIMP)

● Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hive, Presto)

● Familiarity with streaming data processing (Kafka, Kinesis)
