Position Intro:
We are looking for someone to independently manage the financial performance of assigned business units and provide support with financial reporting. This person will also support communications and manage reports between Japanese and English counterparts. We are looking for an individual who is very analytical, attentive to detail, a strong relationship builder, and motivated to proactively improve and drive results.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage budget and forecast of assigned business units with business partners.
- Coordinate and follow-up the fulfillment progress of purchase orders and service contracts with department managers
- Review posted Accounting entries and determine what needs to be accrued or reclassified
- Analyze and report variances between actuals, forecast, and budget
- Understand the root causes of variances and work to improve on them
- Identify risks and opportunities of assigned business and communicate with the management members in a timely manner.
- Translate written and verbal communications between headquarters/Japanese-speaking managers and English-speaking managers
- Translate, prepare, and review ad-hoc and regular month-end reports from English to Japanese
Required Experience:
- Familiar with SAP and Hyperion Essbase
- 3-5 years of FP&A experience, ideally in a high growth media, technology or software services company
- 5-7 years of prior work experience; financial or operations planning & forecasting highly desirable.
- Experience preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial documents (Income statement, balance sheet, budgets and planning)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Fluent in Japanese and English
- Advanced Excel skills
- Analytical and detail-oriented
- Independent and the ability to creatively solve complex business issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to parse complex financial analysis into meaningful communications for business leaders
- Personable and enjoys working with people
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting
Bonus Points
- CPA or CFA
- Gaming/Entertainment industry experience
Physical Demands
Ability to lift objects of up to 25 pounds in weight. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
