Summary
The Sr. Director of Investor Relations will support the global Investor Relations (IR) strategy to build awareness and understanding of Aristocrat across all global capital markets, with a focus on North American and North American based global institutional investors. This role will be located in the United States and will report to the Vice President of Investor Relations, who is located in Sydney, Australia. The selected candidate will help shape and articulate the investment proposition for Aristocrat and engage targeted investors, through interaction with investors and analysts and by showcasing the business’ senior management and operations.
The Sr. Director of Investor Relations will help build and maintain a best-in-class global IR function that provides exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a motivated and mature operator with exceptional integrity, deep experience and existing networks in US and broader global equity markets. The ideal candidate will also be adept at navigating the complexities of a multinational organization with globally dispersed business units.What you'll do
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a US - focused investor relations program, in line with Aristocrat’s Group IR strategy, to effectively communicate the business’ financial performance, competitive advantages and long-term opportunities.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with the investor and analyst community, leveraging U.S. investor networks and experience, to ensure resonance with targeted US and global investors.
- Contribute to the development of investor materials, including earnings releases, presentations, Q&A and talking points to support select IR activities. These may include broker conferences, non-deal roadshows, investor days, M&A announcements, and other capital market events.
- Assist the Vice President of IR in preparing and accompanying senior management to meet with potential institutional and individual investors and market stakeholders.
- Facilitate and participate in investor and analyst site visits to Aristocrat’s operations and customer properties, particularly in North America.
- Collaborate with executive leadership and other internal teams including Corporate Affairs, Finance, Corporate Strategy and Legal to advance the global IR strategy.
- Contribute to the development and communication of Aristocrat’s environmental, social and governance (CSR) messaging and differentiation, in collaboration with the specialist team based in Sydney.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the company’s strategy, its competitive positioning across all land-based and online gaming, and mobile games markets, to support investor interactions and strategic planning.
- Contribute to the collection, analysis, and presentation of relevant investor and analyst perceptions, analysis and research. Monitor and help provide insight, including relative stock price movement, and ownership analysis of the company, to assist in identifying opportunities and successfully implementing the business’ IR strategy.
What we're looking for
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience required
- 8+ years of progressive experience in U.S. or North America-based investor relations, corporate strategy, corporate development, management consulting, equity research, investment banking, or related experience
- Experience working within a diverse, geographically dispersed, multicultural environment, preferably at a globally operating, publicly traded company
- Broad existing networks in US market, particularly among US / US based global investors, and a deep understanding of investor expectations
- Understanding of the financial and legal requirements of working in a publicly traded company; ASX specific experience a bonus but not required
- Ability to build trusted relationships and provide best in class service to senior internal and external stakeholders
- High level of personal maturity and integrity. Ability to work independently and proactively with limited supervision
- Curious mindset with an ability to question the status quo and solve problems
- Comfortable navigating change and ambiguity in a high growth environment, proactively identifying opportunities while managing risks and challenges
- Outstanding communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
- Sharp mind with strong analytical and numeric skills, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills; ability to set goals and create plans to achieve them, working both independently and collaboratively
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- MBA or other advanced business degree preferred
