Summary of Position:
PlayStation is seeking a Senior Director, Global Compensation to lead PlayStation’s market pay philosophy, research, and market analysis for all pay programs, globally. Additionally, this role owns SIE’s global base pay program, including structures, geographic differentials, and budgeting in association with the annual salary planning. In collaboration with People Analytics, this role will lead the development and assessment of key pay program metrics, analytics, and effectiveness measures (across all pay programs). This role is the ongoing owner of job architecture including job levels, titling, infrastructure, grades, and segmentation framework. This role will report to the VP of Total Rewards, who also leads executive compensation, global benefits and mobility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead global base pay strategy & program design in support of business needs, making recommendations, and developing solutions
- Drive the multi-year evolution of PlayStation’s global pay strategy in support of our business & talent strategies, ensuring appropriate balance of global consistency and local/business driven needs
- Direct activities related to compensation survey participation, market analysis, trends and practices and evaluate the organization’s market competitiveness
- Leader with vision on pay transparency philosophy and practice
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure appropriate budgets and accruals are set for compensation programs
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of legislation and work closely with legal to ensure existing policies align with applicable legislative and regulatory requirements
- Serve as strategic consulting partner to assigned business division, partnering with senior HR and business leadership teams to define the compensation approach within global frameworks
- Support senior level compensation offers, training on compensation standard processes to business
- Drive/support compensation related initiatives as appropriate and provide compensation expertise as the business requires
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or related field or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training
- At least 15 years of corporate and/or consulting compensation experience ideally with some exposure to technical/digital profiles, showing progression and leadership
- Strong expertise in different compensation models, structure, and vehicles
- Knowledge of industry trends and developments in compensation, including relevant legal issues
- Familiarity with a number of different benchmarking surveys and approaches as well as job evaluation
- Highly detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with an ability to see the broader picture
- Ability to manage ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment prioritizing workload and performing multiple tasks under accelerated deadlines
- Experience working across multiple geographies and a matrix organization
- Proven senior partner and leadership interaction and managements skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (especially in relation to senior executives and partners).
- Self-starter and able to work well and communicate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to effectively lead and develop a small team of compensation professionals
- Ability to travel as needed
