The Senior Business Systems Analyst works closely with key business stakeholders and data and analytics teams to identify and solve business problems using business acumen, technology and data. They are responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, managing data and analytics projects and tracking relevant metrics to ensure goals and milestones are met. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will report to the Global Director, Analytics Strategy & Operations and help maintain key metrics on strategic initiatives. This role requires strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills as well as a solid understanding of business processes and analytics concepts.
Job Requirements
- Gathering and analyzing business requirements from key stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
- Develop analytic solutions to meet business needs, including creating functional specs, and design documents
- Manage analytic projects, including coordinating and setting project timelines and tracking progress
- Track relevant project metrics
- Communicate with stakeholders to ensure that they are informed about the progress of projects and to address any concerns or questions they may have
- Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders
- Strong documentation and presentation skills, including the ability to create clear and concise documents
- Test analytic solutions to ensure that they meet business requirements
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years experience
- At least 3 years of experience in data analytics or systems analyst
- Proven analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Python
- Comfortable working with large datasets and developing queries as needed
- Proficient in authoring, editing, and presenting technical documents
- Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals, development teams and other team members
- Recommend and advise on all data components, roadmap, and emerging technologies
- Experience in cloud technologies AWS, Azure or GCP is a plus
- Experience in Agile SDLC development methodologies are a plus
- Proficient in MS Office suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
- Understanding of analytical tool stack, Jira, SharePoint, is a plus
- Possesses the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and systematically
- Understands the link between excellence in data acquisition/warehousing/insights, and how to leverage this as a competitive advantage in the marketplace
- Excellent and proven project management skills
- Strong attention to detail and data quality
