Sr. Business Analyst, Data Governance & Literacy

San Mateo, CA

“The growth of data is outpacing an organization’s ability to get value from it”, said a prominent research firm. The Data Governance & Literacy (DGL) team in Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is set up to instill a culture of effective and responsible use of data, thereby enabling a data-driven culture to harness the most value from our data. This is accomplished by governing data as a valuable enterprise asset (responsible) as well as continuously elevating the organization’s data literacy (effective). This role focuses on building out our data literacy program, starting with developing a world-class, context-rich, enterprise data catalog to enable data consumers can quickly find, understand and trust.

You will partner with various stakeholders including product managers, engineers, data scientists, and analytics professionals to understand their data needs, and devise strategies to help them cut down data discovery time and get to value generation quicker.
