Working Location
We are a mixture of remote and hybrid working. Our primary location and only hybrid office is in London and we have remote teams across locations globally which overlap well with the GMT time zone.
What we are looking for
As Spine Animator you will work closely with our Creative team and Unity Tools team to introduce Spine to our pipeline and product. What you will do..
- Rig and animate in Spine using the mesh tool to simulate 3D.
- Create various animation tests in collaboration with the Art team that push Spine to its limits.
- Work to improve efficiency and quality of animations produced for the product.
- Work closely with the relevant teams to ensure the deliverables meet expectations.
- Create animatics for approval before proceeding further.
- Make quick, sound estimates and propose alternatives to save time and effort.
- Share and spread your Spine expertise to your peers.
- Contribute to a positive development culture and create a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Adapt and grow with Drest, a dynamic environment and regularly learn and share.
What you will bring..
- Expert in Spine animation. Rigging a skeleton, creating bones, meshes and skins, balancing the weights, working with transform constraints, animating and exporting have no secrets for you.
- Advanced Photoshop skills.
- Familiarity with Unity.
- Self-driven you are able to proceed with little supervision.
- Willing to receive and give feedback.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken.
- A passion for games, including mobile.
What else you could bring but is not essential..
- C# and Unity Knowledge.
- Knowledge of other animation softwares like After Effects, Maya or Adobe Animate.
- Experience with industry-standard bug reporting software such as JIRA.
- Good grasp of Agile principles and methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Art, Animation or equivalent.
