Sourcing Manager- Network Infrastructure

The Roblox Sourcing and Procurement team is hiring a Sourcing Manager-Network Infrastructure to support the growth of the company focusing on Network Services related needs globally.

As a Sourcing Manager y ou will lead the contract and pricing negotiation of Network Services across Roblox. In addition, you will analyze trends involving the industry players – vendors, peers,, and technology to develop strategies to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities, allowing Roblox to meet and exceed its goals. You will demonstrate domain expertise in Leased Private Line, Dark Fiber, and IP Transit cost modeling and contract negotiations.

You Have :

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent job experience
• 5+ years of Network infrastructure work including technical and commercial knowledge of internet providers, telecommunications providers, internet exchange points
• Solid understanding of domestic and global carrier networks.
• Strength in negotiations, cost price analysis and purchasing procedures is essential
• Experience with basic project management functions, which tie into life cycle of circuit or vendor management
• Experience with conducting vendor Business Reviews
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Google sheets or other data analysis tools used to coordinate and combine large data sets into actionable results
• Experience working with vendors such as Lumen, NTT, Telstra, TATA, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

You Will:

• Lead project initiatives for all aspects of procuring network infrastructure globally including metro, long haul,subsea, ip transit, peering, and internet exchanges.
• Manage the full life cycle of vendor relationships, including that of our strategic partners, to include commercial negotiations, delivery, performance management, asset tracking, and on/off-boarding.
• Demonstrate experience with circuit delivery and terminology.
• Understand fiber terminology and associated technology.
• Facilitate proactive negotiations for cost reduction of existing and new services that will positively affect the overall business.
• Partner with Capacity and Architecture Planning, and Network Engineering teams to ensure proper understanding of requirements and technical feasibility to support infrastructure needs.
• Will request commercial proposals from existing and new vendors for network requirements; input into inventory system, organize and distribute internally to requestor for review and vendor recommendations.
• Request Service Order Form and/or contracts from vendors, validate for pricing and commercial accuracy and responsible for inter-departmental transfer to Network Operations teams for activation.
• Be familiar with network KMZs and provide feedback on diversity routing requirements.
• Act as liaison for escalation of issues identified by internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrate ability to analyze and interpret spend and cost data, including understanding of Total Cost of Ownership
• Identify supplier capabilities and ensure supply base can support Roblox growth.
• Showcase your strong contracting experience and understanding of business risks and address them on legal documents with potential vendors.
• Work with our Legal team to manage the review, negotiation and approval of Master Service Agreements, Terms of Service, and NDAs with our vendors prior to business being initiated.
• Drive price and term negotiations processes to ensure that Roblox’s pricing is best in class and with risks mitigated on contract.
• Drive continual cost reduction and avoidance initiatives through ad hoc price negotiations
• Lead and manage RFx (e.g. Request for Proposal, Request for Information, Request for Quote) process, including project management, development of RFx, negotiations and award process.
• Identify data inaccuracies preventing smooth workflow and implement scalable solutions
• Build documentation and quick reference guides around Sourcing and Procurement
