We have a new & exciting opportunity for a Sound Engineer to join the Liquid Violet team. The successful applicant will work to deliver optimum technical efficiency in the recording of voice talent, enabling the company to deliver a competitive, agile and flexible response to the developing needs of our clients.
We are looking for an energetic and pro-active individual who can apply informed initiative when troubleshooting technical issues. The role will be based in the studio, but we have also developed remote recording workflows which we expect to continue in some capacity. The engineer will also assist in post-production, supporting freelance engineers and the preparation of key assets.
You will work across all service lines of the production business, supporting the technical preparation of projects, recording dialogue and VO to the highest technical standards, and delivering projects within given timeframes and deadlines. Excellent communication is essential when dealing with the internal team, the wider Keywords group, and with clients such as Blizzard, Nintendo, Riot and Netflix.
Whilst recording and studio handling will be your primary focus, additional experience in dialogue editing, technical QC, and asset management would be a great advantage.
Requirements
- You will have exemplary knowledge and experience of; ProTools, VoiceQ, Dante, Adobe Audition, Waves, Izotope RX and microphone techniques.
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills.
- Similar experience in a technical role within a recording studio or postproduction facility.
- Experience with ADR/Dubbing recording.
- You will have worked in a capacity that's both technical and operational, supporting both colleagues and clients in a studio environment.
- Adaptable, curious and able to keep a cool head under pressure.
- Good knowledge of video codecs, sample rates and file formats are an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of Excel and Word is essential.
- A love of games or TV/film is a big bonus!
Monday – Friday with some evening shifts. Weekend and bank holiday work is also sometimes necessary.
