Summary
We are looking for a driven and talented Solution Engineer to join the amazing Gummy Drop! team. As a Solution Engineer, you would have the opportunity to make a big impact on the hit Big Fish mobile game Gummy Drop!, a successful casual game enjoyed by over a million players across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, and Microsoft UWP).
This role requires solid C# software development with an interest in native mobile development, as well as the ability to understand and work within a mature and complex existing codebase. Creativity, attention to detail, high coding standards, and maintaining the stability of the codebase are essential.
You will work with game producers, product managers, and the external game development team to help all these groups overcome technical obstacles and drive the game to greater success.What you'll do
- Understand Gummy Drop’s technology stack and processes to help integrate the SDKs and software services that Big Fish provides
- Explore, experiment, and integrate new technologies
- Partner with the game team, including product, engineering, and QA groups to provide the best possible technical support to them
- Familiarize yourself with the game’s codebase to offer technical advice or help troubleshoot issues
- Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical parties to ensure understanding of priorities, services, and goals
What we're looking for
- 2+ years professional experience in software development (mobile preferred)
- Good C# skills
- Experience integrating complex third-party libraries and services
- Can work with technical and non-technical parties for testing and usage
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks. Effectively context switch to and from unplanned work
- Sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Willingness to learn, not afraid to ask questions
- Ability to break down features into tasks and estimate how long they will take
- Willingness to enjoy a good work/life balance
Nice to Haves:
- Native mobile development experience (iOS/Objective-C, Android/Java)
- Experience with Xamarin development (and/or WPF, UWP, XML based Markup)
- Experience integrating native iOS and Android libraries in Xamarin Native (NuGet packages and custom SDK bindings)
