Software QA Lead, 3D Software Development

Are you a leader who loves gaming and animated films, and has a keen eye for quality? We want you in charge of our Software Quality Assurance (QA) team! Our QA team tests and supports industry-leading software products for every aspect of product development at Ozone Story Tech. If you’re passionate about producing the highest quality product in software development for a revolutionary new technology, we want you to be a part of our team.

As QA Lead, you’ll be in charge of conducting QA testing across a range of Ozone Story Tech products and projects. From formulating the strategy and the process to overseeing implementation of testing procedures, you’ll lead the overarching strategy for each project and all collateral associated with it. All members of the QA team will report directly to you, and you’ll report the issues they flag to the appropriate personnel.

Character authoring quality, entertainment value, and consistency are vitally important to the success of our products. By spearheading the QA process and being the primary point of contact for our key projects, you’ll run a thorough and efficient process that will help us bring those products to market in the best possible way.

Responsibilities

• Building, managing, and implementing QA testing/test plans and error reporting processes for Ozone Story Tech products and projects
• Upholding and championing product quality
• Managing the QA team, including timelines, accountability, and error reporting
• Maintaining strong relationships with the Ozone Story Tech team at all levels for seamless communication regarding trends, technology, and internal R&D
• Ensuring the QA team is on schedule and reporting adequately
• Managing communication with both the QA team and company personnel, such as UX designers and engineers, who need to address specific issues found during testing
• Regularly reviewing and reporting on the efficiency and efficacy of current testing and reporting processes, providing suggestions for improvement when needed
• Direct communication with product owners and project managers to keep the testing process flowing and on schedule
• Defining test infrastructure requirements. Reporting on the outcome of each project after it concludes
• Interfacing with product managers for accurate outgoing communication
• Staying up to date on industry trends to keep QA processes updated and consistent with an ever-changing market
• Encouraging team members to keep an eye on trends and passing on the knowledge you acquire as you monitor the market
• Being an active participant in job performance reviews, providing feedback to managers and team members as needed

Skills/Qualifications

• A minimum of 6 years’ experience in QA testing as a QA lead and/or QA manager
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in either 3D games, interactives, DCCs, simulation, or other related industry
• Ability to lead and work on a remote, international team
• Excellent project management, organizational, and people management skills
• Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to critically analyze projects and identify errors and issues that need reporting
• Love for animated entertainment and video games

Preferred Qualifications

• Software QA testing experience (cross-platform PC/Linux/Mac/consoles preferred)
• ISQTB® Advanced Level CTAL certification
• SQE Agile Testing certification
