Software Engineering Lead - Fitness Game

Pipeworks Studios is looking to hire an experienced software engineer to assume a leadership role on a project in the health and fitness space.
Out of respect for our client’s confidentiality, more details on the product will be provided in your first interview. Although it isn’t a game – the tools, processes and technologies are similar to those used in game development.
We don’t expect this project to continue longer than a year – but we’ll be looking at you as a long term hire. Upon conclusion of the project, we’ll want you to fill similar lead roles on other Pipeworks’ projects.
Essential Job Functions
- Act as the technical liaison between Pipeworks’ engineers and our client. This will involve a significant amount of communication over Slack and in Zoom meetings.
- Estimate time to completion on engineering tasks.
- Collaborate with the Lead Producer to manage schedule, scope of work and task assignments to other engineers.
- Write code to implement features and fix bugs.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a leadership role, or a strong desire to gain leadership experience
- Proficient with at least one of either C++ or C# programming languages

- An interest in health and fitness
- Experience with any of the following:
- Git source control
- Visual Studio

- Jenkins
- Passion for video games
