Software Engineering Internship
Please note that we are currently planning on having our internships in-person. With that said, the safety of our employees is a top priority and we are comfortable transitioning our internship to be 100% virtual if needed .
- Must be pursuing a bachelors, masters, or PhD in a computer science related field and graduating December 202 2 or later
- Available for a 12-week internship starting in late May or late June
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written skills

Automation Internship: This team supports the continuous development, automation, and improved workflows and iteration times for our studios. (Los Angeles, Playa Vista, Sherman Oaks)
- Comfortable with Unix and Windows
- Working knowledge of Python, Bash, and/or Javascript
- Understanding of git
- Docker knowledge is a plus
Front-End Development Intern ship : Be part of the Experience Optimization team located in Los Angeles, CA, focused on Front-end Development to build and maintain a variety of consumer facing websites and mobile properties for our games and franchises. Leverage data, game AIP’s and creative marketing to build an engaging experience for players out of the console of PC.
- Deep understanding of front end (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Etc.) languages
- Experience with engineering tools and methods ( GitHub , unit testing, continuous integration, etc.)
Back-end Development Intern ship : Be part of the Experience Optimization team located in Los Angeles, CA, focused on Back-end Development to build and maintain a variety of consumer facing websites and mobile properties for our games and franchises. Work on websites that are global and responsive, built within the Activision CMS to support long term maintenance and usability
- Strong understanding of Java programmin g and Spring framework
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL
- Understanding of data scaling techniques
- Experience with engineering tools and methods ( GitHub , unit testing, continuous integration, etc.)
UX/UI Internship: Be part of the Experience Optimization team located in Los Angeles, CA focused on UX/UI to create wireframes, mockups and prototypes for new and existing websites and mobile apps for one of our franchises. Conduct research to inform approach including competitive analysis and user feedback
- Knowledge of best practices for websites and mobile apps
- Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Experience using design tools such as Sketch
- Work on challenging projects that utilize your education and critical thinking abilities to have an impact on business initiatives
- Participate in the design and code review process
- Partner with other software engineers in a collaborative environment
- Participate in learning and development tech talks to understand how our employees come together to launch AAA games
