Software Engineering Intern

Software Engineering Intern

San Francisco, CA

You'll be working in the team that develops and operates core features of PlayStation Services. On this team, you will get to work on projects in PlayStation's Games and Social services that impact millions of video game players around the globe!

Responsibilities include:

• Design and implement RESTful Web Services API
• Develop algorithms that deal with massive data sets to power these APIs
• Produce excellent, thorough design and development documentation
• Develop with agile methodology

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (or related field), and/or within 1 year of their post-graduation date
• A good understanding of object oriented design and programming. Exposure to Java programming highly desired.
• A good understanding of database concepts, and some familiarity with NoSQL Databases such as: Cassandra, Redis etc.
• Knowledge of and experience in developing web server applications is a major plus
• Nice to have knowledge of design and architectural patterns
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and not afraid to ask for help and seek knowledge
