Software Engineering Intern
San Diego, CA
Responsibilities:
- This internship involves development and support of PlayStation Network's notification service components. As an intern on our team, you would be accountable for technical support of a highly scalable set of java services to give PlayStation platforms ability to broadcast transactional notifications (email, SMS and live on console messages). If you have a passion for massively scalable java services and gaming, this is the right spot for you!
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Python, with knowledge of at least one Python web framework such as Django, Bottle or Flask
- A good understanding of RESTful API architecture and development
- Understanding of fundamental design principles of a scalable application
- Familiarity with database principals and experience working with at least one database technology using Python (Oracle, MongoDB, MySQL, ...)
- Understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance
- Unit test and debugging skills
- Good work ethic coupled with an ability to learn in a dynamic environment
Desired qualifications:
- CICD Pipelines, AWS Services and cloud platforms
- JAVA development skills
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN
- Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
