Software Engineering Intern
Los Angeles, CA
As the Software Engineer Intern, you will be creative, curious, energetic and have a real passion for this field. You will be a self-starter bringing innovative ways to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Java and Node.js internal, cloud-based applications
- Write and execute unit tests using the JUnit framework
- Apply and refine coding standards
- Fix bugs and provide engineering support for business and operations teams
- Own the implementation and delivery of small and mid-size features
- Create estimates and assist with schedules; document issues and dependencies; collaborate with team members to deliver features
Qualifications:
- Self-starter, strong desire to learn, passion for technology and problem-solving
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Java-based web application development
- Experience with server-side Java and JavaScript
- Experience with RDBMS and writing SQL queries (e.g. Oracle, MySQL/Aurora)
- Experience with XML (XML, XSL, JAXP) and JSON
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Experience with object modeling, analysis, and design
- Experience with web application development using MVC technologies
- Experience with version control systems
- Experience with JUnit and other testing frameworks
- Experience with modern web UI technologies (e.g. Node.js, JQuery, Vue.js, Angular, React)
- Experience with NoSQL
