Software Engineer (C++/Unreal)

Job Overview

Wargaming Sydney is seeking a Software Engineer to join our studio. We are looking for an experienced engineer who has the ability to work in a fast moving environment.

What will you do?

Our team is developing the in-game match replay system for Wargaming's next AAA free-to-play title aimed at a western audience. This title will kick off our next generation of massively-multiplayer online games using the Unreal Engine. You will bring key experience and skills to help us create these games and bring them to millions of players. You will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the game and collaborate closely with teams in other game studios across the world. Additionally, you will be involved in shaping the in-game replay experience for future Wargaming titles. You will also be working with a separate team developing a novel replay-related feature that will become standard in all Wargaming titles, which will debut in our game. You will be joining a new cross-functional development team that's agile, open, fun, and driven to build high-quality products.

What are we looking for?

• Understanding and application of best practices for game development
• Code and system design skills, and ability to identify and solve problems
• Proficiency with C++
• Experience working with Unreal Engine (UE4)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Will thrive in an agile environment

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Experience with Unreal's replay system
• Back-end service development
• Experience with GDPR
• Shipped a game, particularly one developed in Unreal
