With the rapid growth of Grand Theft Auto Online and other long-term Social Club plans, Rockstar San Diego is on the lookout for a talented Software Engineer who is not afraid of new challenges and wants to work on a team who are focused on redefining what an online gaming experience can be. The successful candidate will be working on bleeding edge technology with an internationally established team, and must possess great attention to detail, be a strong team player, and have excellent communication skills.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s game development studio in Carlsbad. Whether it’s the beach or mountains, San Diego has something for everyone and is considered one of the best places to live year-round.
WHAT WE DO
- We create connected experiences that are found across our game franchises.
- We create online services for our games, including matchmaking, cloud saves, player stats, leaderboards, and more.
- We create innovative in-game experiences, including user-generated content.
- We build applications that support our internal business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain applications that aid in developer productivity.
- Collaborate with other Rockstar technology teams across our worldwide studios.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 3+ years of experience developing .NET applications.
- Possess versatility and ability to regularly tackle new challenges.
- Passion and a desire to remain up to date with the latest technologies.
SKILLS
- Strong .NET/C# skills.
- Strong WPF skills.
- Strong math skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team.
- Experience with source control, preferably Perforce
- Knowledge of Agile software development processes.
- Experience applying software development best practices.
PLUSES
Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
- Games industry experience working on AAA titles.
