Position Summary

In this position, you would be working with clients, primarily game studios, designing, advising, and building the next generation of their online web service platform that is highly scalable, secure, and available using Go and cloud technologies. Some travel is required for this position to client locations.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:

  • You'll be engaged in designing, developing, deploying, maintaining, and improving high-quality backend services.
  • Implement unit and integration tests.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams (Frontend, SDK, SDET, PM, etc.) in a global environment.
  • Apply design patterns and best practices to produce clean, extensible, testable, and performant code.
  • Enhance the functionality of current products by adding or removing certain features.
  • Involve in translating product requirements into extensible design.
  • Responsible for doing research for new technologies and tools to enable us to build better solutions.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • 3+ years in writing GO
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience developing microservices in the cloud using Go
  • Ability to write scalable Go code adhering to the best practices
  • Solid security best practices
  • Strong computer science and engineering background
  • Forward-thinking and up-to-date on current and emerging architecture patterns
  • Able to work with clients under tight deadlines, on distributed teams with fluid requirements
  • Flexibility in working with people coming from different timezones

Qualifications/Experience Preferred:

  • Knowledge about Java
  • Experience in designing and deploying services in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for millions of users
  • AAA game studio experience
  • Knowledge about Linux
