We are seeking an associate tools engineer to help build development support and content creation tools to empower and supercharge the productivity of our development team. If you enjoy improving the day-to-day experience and workflows of your fellow workers or authoring solutions to get key game development tasks done in less mouse clicks and less time, read on!

COVID-19 Hiring Update:

We need help with
- Partnering with design, art, engineering, and audio to implement new and improve existing tools that meet the project’s needs.
- Furthering the efficiency, maintainability, and scalability of the tools and technology developed by the team.
- Evaluating internal/external technology and tools with the goal of sourcing and integrating technology that meets project requirements and goals.
- Authoring documentation and communicating best practices and technical constraints of the engine and tools stack to team members.
- Establish mutual trust, respect among your teammates, and celebrate one another’s successes
- Championing Blizzard’s core values.
What you are good at
- Enthusiasm for supporting and enabling others to do their best work.
- Motivated to learn new tools, techniques, and workflows.
- Writing C++ code with knowledge of both historical patterns and modern language features.
- Strong spoken and written communications skills.
- Creating GUI-driven software with an emphasis on usability.
Extra awesome points for
- B.S. (or higher) degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Experience working with game development teams.
- Experience with Unity, Unreal, or other development engines.
- Experience with performance analysis and code optimization.
- Experience with Relational Databases (SQL) or Document stores (NoSQL).
- Experience with modern source control systems, such as Subversion, Git, or Perforce.
