Blizzard Entertainment is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our mobile gaming efforts. Are you an achievement hunter? A quest completer? A guild leader? We need an engineer familiar with metagame features who can help bring the vision of our design team to life!

As the server specialist on metagame projects, you will work with UI engineers and Designers to define the storage requirements and craft the message flows as required by each feature. How can we track achievement progress? How do we ensure quest rewards are delivered? What happens if a guild becomes full?

This is primarily a backend position. Knowledge of server systems and message flows is expected, though you will not be alone. Come join our team of seasoned server veterans!

Requirements

5 years C# professional development

Prior development work on backend systems

Primary contributor on at least one shipped user/player facing feature

Experience supporting a live product

Enthusiasm and a passion for mobile gaming

Pluses

Experience with containers and cloud deployments

Experience with Kubernetes

Database development experience (Cassandra)

Knowledge of distributed messaging systems (Kafka
