Software Engineer - Render

The studio behind the Project CARS and NFS Shift franchises is looking for a Render Software Engineer to join our team. Reporting in to one of our Technical Directors, as a member of the Render team you will help develop the Graphical technology that makes our games look amazing. Responsibilities:
- Take an active part in the design and creation of performant graphics code in our custom Engine
- Authoring shader code to work across a variety of platforms
- Deliver high-quality visuals within the capabilities of a wide range of target hardware
- Work with the Art team to deliver on the vision for the project
- Help develop processes to increase the efficiency of art creation
- Profiling (GPU, CPU, Memory) to find and reduce bottlenecks and improve existing code
- Plan your work and assist others with planning
- Work with several EA teams and technologies to implement all rendering features, not just within SMS, but within the EA Family
Qualifications:
- 5 years C++ coding experience
- Experience in a senior graphics role on a previous title, ideally with areas of specialisation
- Knowledge of interactive rendering techniques on modern console hardware
- 3D mathematic skills
- Experience with modern Graphics APIs (e.g DirectX, Vulkan, Agc)
- Working knowledge of shaders
- A broad knowledge of GPU architecture and contemporary graphics techniques
- Knowledge of profiling tools (e.g. PIX, VTune, Razor)
- Present to non-technical team members
- Familiarity with Agile development processes
- Passionate about graphics, games and game technology
- Comfortable working in a predominantly remote environment covering multiple time-zones
Additional desirable experience:
- Experience developing tools/scripts in art applications (e.g. Maya, photoshop, etc.) to support the art pipeline
- Experience writing compute shaders
- Experience using PBR workflows
