Software Engineer, Quality

The opportunity

We are looking for someone who is passionate about quality! Would you like to be a part of our international Release Engineering Quality Assurance team? The team is focused on the quality in the latter stages of development for all supported versions of the Unity editor.

As a Software Test Engineer, you will be a part of a team of quality engineers who execute testing activities.

Here at Unity, we will help you grow your understanding of software engineering and quality. Within the role, you will also have plenty of opportunities to expand your technical skills and directly affect the quality experience for our users.

What you'll be doing

• Create and develop focused, comprehensive, well-structured test plans in projects.
• Partner with remote development teams and QA members across the business to explore and understand new and existing Unity features.
• Implement Quality Assurance reports.
• Perform real-world scenario testing using the Unity Engine as our users do to focus specifically on usability issues.
• Investigate and report valid issues, supplying detailed information in associated issue reports.
• Innovate, influence and assist the team with constant process improvements.

What we're looking for

• Excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable working within an international team and will need to be proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Strong analytical skills, motivation, high level of dedication, proactive and positive attitude and critical thinking ability and problem solving problems.
• Experience and understanding of all aspects of Unity3D software.
• Experience using QA and development tools such as Jira/Confluence, TestRail, Jenkins and GitHub.
• Good problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.

You might also have

• Experience of one or more of the following technologies: Unreal; any 3D Engine; or any programming language.
• Background in Games development.
• Experience working in a distributed team.

Additional information

Gross base salary (euros): 27900 - 37800 *

*Note: Certain locations require a good faith disclosure of the base salary range for the role. The actual salary for the successful candidate may differ based on location, experience, and other job-related factors.
