We are seeking a Software Engineer, Netcode who will develop the networking architecture responsible for synchronizing game objects and systems for our ambitious project.

COVID-19 Hiring Update:
We've transitioned to a work-from-home model, and we're continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.
We need help with
- Working closely with designers, gameplay engineers, and server engineers to implement a network replication system that meets the needs of the project.
- Building tools to help identify and troubleshoot difficult to diagnose network replication issues.
What you are good at
- Building proven, scalable, efficient network replication systems that leverage fundamental techniques (e.g., client predictive behavior, server authority, latency compensation, rollback and reconciliation).
- A solid understanding of core networking fundamentals.
- Writing C++ code
- Profiling and optimizing CPU performance.
- Collaborating with other engineers, designers, and producers.
- Communicating your ideas clearly, giving meaningful feedback, and listening to fellow team members.
- Context switching between attending meetings, writing code, answering questions, and troubleshooting problems.
Extra awesome points for
- Experience working with multiple platforms.
- Knowledge of ECS programming.
- Systems-level programming experience on Linux.
- Passion for gaming.
