Software Engineer, Mobile Native AR Mapping

Niantic’s Engineering Department seeks a Mobile Native Software Developer to work on AR Mapping.
Niantic Engineering leads the advancement of AR and other immersive technologies while creating engaging apps for a user base in the billions. We’re a highly collaborative team and looking for engineers who want to learn and ship products that will be used by millions of developers and users.
Responsibilities
- Develop mobile apps that allow users to collaboratively build a map of the world.
- Be responsible for mobile client, frontend and backend development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to meet internal standards while cultivating strong working relationships with project team members, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.
- Required in-office 2+ days a week
Qualifications
- Bachelor of computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in software development, and 2+ years in mobile client development.
- Experience with at least one of these technologies: flutter, swift, java, kotlin, C++, react.
- Ability and passion to quickly learn new technologies when needed.
- Bonus: Interest in augment reality, computer graphics.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.
- Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including asynchronous interactions with others.
The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $ 158,400.00 - $ 176,000.00 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
