Software Engineer ManagerSummary
We are currently looking to hire an Engineering Manager to lead mobile engineering teams to help build our game portfolio, supporting tools and technologies. With solid technical background in software development, delivery of mobile apps , SDKs and libraries experience, passion for leading , mentoring , coaching team members, the ideal candidate will work closely with the feature teams, game teams, his/her direct reports team leads to drive engineering excellence for a worldwide engineering team to support high performance using agile and lean methodologies.
Your team is responsible for building and maintaining software infrastructure of mobile games within a matrix organization where each development team is part of a business unit with a certain level of autonomy to drive innovation and engage their player base.
This is a role that will suit an empathetic technology leader, who can focus on driving a candid feedback culture, mentor and coach engineers and have a focus on great people and cross-team practices.
The ideal candidate will be a vital part in driving the team to the next level of achievement by unlocking any blockers, even technical or business relevant issues, noticing the improvement points, onboarding the new people and making them productive faster, improving processes to make the stakeholders happy.What You'll Do
Experience working closely with Product Owners, Quality Assurance, Platform teams, Server teams and other leaders to ensure the department is delivering world-class technology.
Experience advocating and promoting modern, agile software development practices.
Experience in native mobile SDK development using C#, ObjC/Swift, or Java/Kotlin
Experience working with Unity
Experience with development using cloud based technologies a big plus
Experience with managing multiple teams, and have successfully solved many of the tough organizational challenges that follow.
Experience of influencing across team & wider teams
Experience working in high volume releases environments
Experience working and integrating third party vendor plugins
A platform/service development background as an engineer.
Knowledge of good engineering practices and code architecture.
