Summary:
We are seeking an Engineering Manager with a track record of developing and delivering high-quality applications and other technical projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with both, technical and non-technical members of the team including individual contributors and other team leaders to ensure the timely completion of engineering projects. The Engineering Manager will also be responsible for providing training and guidance to direct reports.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of software engineers.
- Advise on team needs, including hiring, training, and software.
- Ensure adherence to team and company best practices, including regular code reviews, app performance metrics, and code quality metrics.
- Promote agile SDLC practices, and help the team plan, estimate, and deliver features to end-users.
- Guide and empower individuals in your team, and promote professional and personal development.
- Work closely with the product owners and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
- Work closely with QA to identify and triage defects in the product in an efficient manner.
- Be a team advocate and an active contributor to a healthy engineering culture that encourages productivity and job satisfaction.
Required Qualifications:
- You have 8 or more years of experience developing consumer-facing games or other applications
- You have 5 or more years of experience developing in Unity
- You have 5 or more years of experience with C#/.NET
- You have experience working in agile frameworks, including SCRUM
- You have a strong understanding of common design patterns and SOLID principles
- You have a solid understanding of the full software development life cycle
- You find creative solutions to difficult problems in an efficient manner
- You have excellent attention to detail
- You are an analytical thinker capable of translating business requirements and wireframes into application architecture
- You are highly motivated and a self-starter
