Software Engineer, Madden NFL
Job Description
As a software engineer, you will work within a team located on-site at our office in Eugene, Oregon and collaborate remotely with our partners at EA Tiburon. Come make your mark on one of the most popular video game franchises ever – Madden NFL.
Responsibilities
- Write code to implement new features and fix bugs, leveraging EA’s Frostbite engine.
- Mentor less experienced engineers
- Collaborate with designers and artists as necessary
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 3+ years’ professional software development experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong C++ coding skills
- A desire to help level-up and mentor junior engineers
- Experience extending and adding features to large codebases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a software engineer in the gaming industry
- Experience with Flash-based UI systems (e.g. Scaleform )
- Experience with the PS4 and Xbox One platforms
- Experience with EA’s Frostbite engine
- SQL/MySQL knowledge
- Experience with large-scale, client-server networked games
- Gaming experience with games in the Madden NFL franchise
