Software Engineer - League, Behavioral Systems (Services)

As a Software Engineer on the League of Legends' Behavioral Systems team, you will bring backend services knowledge and curiosity to change the culture of League of Legends for our players. You will improve our players’ experience by proposing and implementing changes to our meta-game systems that handle the detection of game ruining behavior, rewards and punishments, and player reputation. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that collaborates with UX designers, data scientists, and game designers.
You will report to the engineering manager of the Behavioral Systems team in our Los Angeles headquarters.
- Propose ideas and participate in our project prioritization process
- Design and develop microservice systems using Java
- Work with guidance from team technical leadership on the design and implementation of features
- Participate in our on-call rotation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2 years of professional experience building microservices (Java, Go, Python, Node.js, .NET, etc)
- Previous experience with Spring framework
