Software Engineer Intern (6 to 9 months)

The Role

As a Software Engineer Intern within the Commerce initiative in Dublin, you'll report into an Engineering Manager and you'll write the code that powers commercial products and services deployed across the globe. You'll work across multiple technologies and problem domains, assist with building high traffic, high availability solutions, and integrating with Riot's existing platforms and APIs.The internship is planned for a maximum of 9 months on a full time basis.

Potential Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver services that enable third parties like Twitch to integrate with Riot's fulfillment systems and reward players with in-game content and access to new games
• Develop services to support personalized experiences to our players and monitor their effectiveness
• Establish and refine DevOps tooling, infrastructure, and monitoring
• Build and maintain SDKs and APIs that are used by internal game customers to power their games
• Help Riot grow its commercial product capabilities outside of our games

Internship Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in Ireland
• Available on a full time basis for the period of the internship
• Completed or currently completing a BS in computer science, engineering, or related degree program

Required Qualifications:

• Familiarity with an object oriented programming language like Java
• Familiarity with web development languages such as HTML, CSS and Javascript
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with building RESTful Backend APIs
• Familiarity with web development frameworks such as React or Angular
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with software development best practices like unit testing, functional testing, integration testing, CI/CD
