We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join the Star Wars team. We are only considering students who will be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in the summer of 2022 and are slated to graduate in Fall of 2022 or Spring of 2023.
What You’ll Do…
- Develop game features or tools for cross-platform games.
- Operate and deliver in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while meeting high-quality standards.
- Follow best practices to maximize game performance across multiple devices and platforms.
- Partner with art and design to create delightful player experiences and engaging game mechanics.
- Collaborate with fellow developers to create systems, core technology, and tools.
- Write C/C++ code, with a deep knowledge of gameplay.
- Work closely with designers, artists, and animators to design systems and make something great.
- Proactively identify and deal with issues.
Required Qualifications...
- Currently enrolled in a college, university degree program
- Available to work full-time hours for 10-12 weeks remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A passion for gaming technology and creating great player experience.
- Experience with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity, etc).
- Familiarity with some of the following: C++, Python, C#.
- Interest in all parts of the code base, and making really solid game play. Experience with multi-threaded programming.
